As a Canadian citizen, I recently made the move to New York City after spending the last 12 years in Chicago. I graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University and have been working in Chicago and regionally ever since. I've had the opportunity to work with theatre companies including Lyric Opera of Chicago, Marriott Theatre, Griffin Theatre, Broadway in Chicago, Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre, Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, and PrideArts among others.

While being an introvert and struggling to make friends during my teenage years, the arts changed my life and helped me find my pathway; especially when I got involved in theatre. For the first time, I was able to delve into my unique perspective as an individual and give a voice to characters by channeling my own life experiences, whether they were joyous or painful. The camaraderie of working in theatre set me up with lifelong friends and kickstarted my journey in finding approval within myself rather than from others. Being able to connect to characters in plays and musicals opened my eyes to the many issues that people face in the world, but it also broadened my understanding of culture and the joys of diversity in humanity.

I cherish the gift of being an actor. I'm always eager to improve, learn more, and grow from my mistakes in this business. I have a strong mindset of “progress, not perfection”. This mindset has helped me avoid holding myself back from obstacles and fears, and has excelled my career to pursue new heights. This year, I’ve challenged myself to discover the triumph in facing the unknown. I recently took an improv class at The Second City. This experience exposed me to the bliss of being in the moment in a way I've never felt before. The class also helped me discover a new found trust within myself and sparked the realization that collaboration and ensemble is what makes this field of work special and unlike any other.
